I actually stamped!!!!!

Whoo hoo!!!!! I did it!!! I found time to stamp!!!!! I am now finished with the second set of my swaps for Regionals!!!!!

It was so nice and relaxing to get back into the stamping swing! I decided to use my new Season of Joy set for this card. I started with a card base of Soft Sky and wheeled it with the So Swirly jumbo wheel in white craft ink. Next I stamped the background square repeatedly onto a strip of River Rock cs. Then I stamped the tree in Always Artichoke ink and notched the corners of the white cs with the ticket corner punch. After matting this onto artichoke cs, I added glitter in the swirls and some artichoke grosgrain. I am looking to attending my very first SU! event in less than two weeks! Hope you enjoy the card!

Peeking in . . .

Another busy week has transpired here. Lots of meetings and things to do after hours. The good news is that I passed my second exam and I am now "highly qualified" - whoo hoo! The only stamping I have done is super secret (aka for my DSS) so I'm sorry I cannot share it with you. Hopefully you will enjoy looking at these beautiful RAKs I have received recently.

The first one is from my little sister from last round of DSS, Carole Burrage (aka TruCarMa on SCS). Carole is a super talented stamper, and such a sweetie too! She sent me this card to thank me for all the goodies I heaped upon her during DSS. Carole, you are more than welcome and thank YOU for your thoughtfulness!

This next card was sent to me by Mary Jo Albright. Awhile back she ran a contest on her blog and decided to send cards to each perosn who posted a comment. I recently received mine and it is even more wonderful in person! I love Mary Jo's creations! She is amazingly talented and was even honored by SU! as a recipient of the Artisan Award. Please stop by her blog, beauty lies within (link at right) when you have a chance. Thank so much for your generosity, Mary Jo!!!! I love this adorable little card!!!

So sorry . . .

I never meant to be away for so long! I am truly sorry about the length of time between posts here. All I can say is that I have been busier than I ever imagined, and more exhausted too as a result! So please accept my humblest apologies . . .

I'd like to share a few RAKs I've received recently with you t
oday. I *have* been working on a few things, but they are for a gathering I am attending at the end of the month, so they will have to wait! This first beauty is from my sweet friend, Beate. I just love the way she can put together a card with colors and details I could never imagine! It is simply gorgeous, Beate!!!!! Thanks so much!!!!!

The second card was sent to me by my dear friend Jody to congratulate me on my new job. Isn't she the sweetest? Again, her attention to detail is superb! I *love* everything about it, Jody!!!!! Thanks so much for thinking of me!!!!!! Also, these pictures were taken with my brand new digital camera. Can you tell? Does it make a difference? So far I am really liking it, but I will give you the full lowdown after the gathering, ok? I promise to *try* to be better about posting here too, honest! Thanks again to all of you for your continued support! It means so much!!! {{{hugs}}}
